Tim has expansive knowledge of business and tax consulting solutions for clients globally. He provides clients with a full range of accounting and auditing services, and is particularly attuned to the needs of growth-driven, middle market companies specializing in manufacturing, distribution, and service-related industries.
Tim also helps business owners and private equity companies with transaction support services, including financial and operational due diligence. He also assists in providing assurance services to the acquired company.
Tim heads the charge for Clayton & McKervey's clients doing business in Mexico, and is currently working with clients doing business in Puebla and Queretaro.
Tim believes one of the things Clayton & McKervey does so well is seek to understand what great companies do and apply the knowledge gained from their experiences an our involvement to other client opportunities. "I can see the potential of some clients, and provide insight and techniques I've learned so they can achieve greater success."
Tim's primary focus is on accounting and auditing, and working hand-in-hand with clients to help them obtain proper financing with banks and/or sellers. In one instance, he worked with senior management to improve their budgeting process and was able to help secure additional outside funds for the company's continual growth.
Tim actively spends time understanding the tax side of the business, as well as identifying tax savings ideas for his clients, including but not limited to, Research & Experimentation Tax Credits, cost segregation studies, and personal property tax savings.
Before joining the firm, Tim worked in private industry and public accounting, including six years at a Big 4 firm.
Being involved in business organizations allows Tim to associate with a broader group of business executives and entrepreneurs. He is active in the National Tooling and Machining Association and currently serves as the vice chair of the MACPA Manufacturing Task Force. He also serves on the Manufacturing & Distribution committee for PKF North America and the Finance Committee for Pine Lake Country Club.
A graduate of Michigan State University, Tim is married with three young children. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, tennis, and hockey, and spending time with his family.
